Ring Run 0.34.0 MSFS 2024 Core.zip
Ring Run Music 0.27.3 Both Simulators.zip

INSTALL
1. Fully close MSFS and extract the matching Core ZIP.
2. Open the extracted Community folder. It contains seven ringrun-* folders.
3. Copy all seven folders directly into your simulator's Community folder.
If updating, move the same-named old folders to a backup outside Community
first. Leave unrelated add-ons alone. Do not merge the two Core versions.
4. For music, copy Community/ringrun-music from the Music ZIP into Community.
Update an older music package too: this version supports all 100 courses.
5. Connect your controller before opening MSFS. Go to Activities > Custom
Content > Ring Run. Search or filter, select a course and open its briefing.
Change aircraft there if desired, then start the flight.

The final structure should be:
  Community/ringrun-activities/manifest.json
  Community/ringrun-runtime/manifest.json
...and the other ringrun-* folders beside them.
Do not place the extracted Community folder inside the existing Community folder.
For Ring Run, both versions use Community (not Community2024).

DEFAULT COMMUNITY LOCATIONS
Paste the appropriate path into File Explorer's address bar.

MSFS 2020 - Microsoft Store / Xbox app
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

MSFS 2020 - Steam
%APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community

MSFS 2024 - Microsoft Store / Xbox app
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

MSFS 2024 - Steam
%APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages\Community

If packages were installed elsewhere, use Community inside InstalledPackagesPath
shown near the bottom of that simulator's UserCfg.opt. No editing is needed.
In 2020, Developer Mode > Tools > Virtual File System > Packages Folders can
open Community. In 2024, use Marketplace > My Library > Settings > Open.
Each simulator has its own installation folder; copying to one does not update
both. The 2020 core has ringrun-browser; 2024 has ringrun-tablet instead.

AIRCRAFT AND CONTROLS
The Delta hang glider and Rocket Belt are included. Plane defaults use the stock
XCub; sailplane courses use the stock LS8. Make those aircraft available in MSFS,
or choose another installed aircraft from the course briefing.

Plane: use the selected aircraft's normal MSFS controls and throttle.
Delta: left stick steers and controls pitch. Forward dives; hold A to slow/flare.
Fly through white updrafts with wings level and ease out of the dive first.
Sailplane: pitch for airspeed (roughly 60 knots in the LS8). Toggle Spoilers to
control descent. Increase/Decrease Spoilers gives finer airbrake control.
Rocket Belt: left stick tilts/turns, RT lifts, LT or RT+LT brakes/holds hover.
Release both triggers to turn jets off. Land on the next deck and stop for
one second. Hovering above the platform does not count.

Open the Ring Run in-flight panel for progress, ring sounds, music on/off,
volume and next track. If plane engines drown out music, try lowering Aircraft
Engines in MSFS sound settings. Controller profiles and sound settings remain
local to each device. Choose Restart in the pause menu to try again.
